WHAT YOU HAVE IS ENOUGH

“Who despises the day of small things? Men will rejoice when they see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. (These seven are the eyes of the Lord, which range throughout the earth)” Zechariah 4:10.

Has it ever occurred to you that an oak tree of today once started as an acorn? Do you even realize that the man who is six feet tall began as a tiny embryo in a mother’s womb? This is a divine principle. Before anything can be great, it must start small and go through a process within which it grows and expands.

The problem with majority of human beings is that they want to start big. Not only that, by comparing what God gave them to what God gave others, the tendency to look down on what they have increases. But they have forgotten that God gave gifts to everyone according to individual ability.

The truth is, everything God gave to you will first appear as a seed. And every seed has a multiplicative tendency if it is well nurtured, properly invested and productively harnessed. For instance, David’s consistent use of his slingshot multiplied and unraveled more of the potentials of the sling. Amazingly, this small sling brought down the giant.

What the widow of Zarephath considered too small to feed herself and her child eventually fed three people and was sold to pay her debt – 1 Kings 17:14-16. The five loaves of bread and two fishes that seemed insignificant but was made available and used, eventually fed five thousand men excluding the children, leaving behind twelve baskets full of leftover.

Now hear this; be willing to start small, start with whatever you have.Give thanks to God over that little money, gift and materials – whatever you appreciate never depreciates. Start using it as small as it is. Surprisingly, it will begin to multiply with consistent use.

Today, you will encounter God’s miracle. Breakthrough beyond your imagination will be your portion. You are lifted!

Heavenly Father, thank you for equipping me with what I need to achieve success in Jesus’ name.

Impart me with the willingness to start small.

Oh Lord, honour me and elevate me to a higher position in Jesus’ name.

You Can’t Do It All Alone

“By myself I can do nothing; I judge only as I hear, and my judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself but him who sent me” John 5:30.

Success is a collection of relationships. Without clients, a lawyer has no career. Without patients, a doctor has no one to treat. Without a composer, a singer has nothing to sing. An inscription was boldly and conspicuously pasted on the wall of one of the patients ward in one of the University Teaching Hospitals, it read; ‘On no account, and in no circumstance whatsoever must you shout or yell at any patient. They are the reason you have a job’. My thinking has been readjusted since the day I read that inscription.

You need problem solvers around you no doubt. Having acquired so much properties and wealth, you still need the service of a good lawyer to avoid being a victim of litigations. Patients need the service of a medical practitioner in order to put their health back in order. The service of a good financial adviser is required so you do not ignorantly squander your hard-earned resources. It goes on and on like that.

God, in His plan decided to route the journey of every child into the world through a family so he/she can enjoy warmth, love, care, affection and training that is needed before entering the society. Jesus constantly talked to His Heavenly father. He talked to His disciples. He talked to everybody. He exchanged ideas with the scribes and priest in the temple. He appointed twelve co-workers to run His earthly ministry – Mark 3:14.

Change your mentality about life. Your future is connected to people; so develop people skills, develop good human relation. Let people find it easy to work with you. Depend absolutely on God. Listen to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit today, obey every instruction. You need people. You need God.

Oh Lord, grant me wisdom and guidance in knowing who I can turn to.

Other people’s destinies are attached to me; help me to see how I can help them.

Oh Lord, work through me; grant me virtues that will attract people towards me.

Put an end to loneliness, struggle and stress in my life today.

 “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9.

There is no career, marriage or pursuit that is free from challenges. The fact that God led you into your present assignment does not exempt you from challenges of life. But not all obstacles are bad. Challenges are those obstacles you will meet on the road to whatever achievement you desire. Being a Christian does not remove you from the world and its problems; rather it equips you to live in it productively and victoriously; John 16:33.

Growth and success do not eliminate obstacles; they create new ones. Everything depends on you, because God is always working on everyone and walking with us. According to Thomas Carlisle, ‘The block of granite which was an obstacle in the pathway of the weak becomes a stepping-stone in the pathway of the strong.’

Challenges bring promotion, it provides an opportunity to grow though it can temporarily detour you. Challenges reveal what we truly believe and who we really are. Challenges could make one doubt the presence or existence of God just as Job’s wife suggested to him. But you have the choice and power to decide on whose side you stand. Obstacles can temporarily detour, but they are not strong enough to stop you.

Fanny Jane Crosby, a legendary hymn writer lost her sight when she was just six weeks old as a result of a doctor’s error in treating her illness. In her state of blindness she wrote more than 8,000 inspiring hymns, one of which is ‘Blessed Assurance’. No matter how cloudy it is when the plane takes off; above the clouds, the sun always shines. Always call back to mind those promises of God for you in moments like this. Do not just look at God through your circumstances; look at your circumstances through God. Remember, if you can just face the music, with God on your side, some day you will lead the band. It is well!

Give me courage oh Lord, to face life’s challenges.

Challenges of life shall never cripple me. Let it bring out the best in me.

No challenge of life shall be able to separate me from the love of Christ in Jesus’ name.

Handling Life’s Pressures

“Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand” - Ephesians 6:13.

What is pressure of life? It is the natural consequence of human development. Moving from one stage of life to another provokes pressure.Pressure of life is bound to come. No one can escape it. At one point or the other, each one of us will come under pressure whether we like it or not. Life pressure is of different categories: financial, physical, marital and so on. Several people have gone through the pressure of life and today we have one or two lessons to

learn from them.

For instance, Abraham went through pressures mounted by his wife, and other family members as a result of his momentary delay in child bearing.Esau, while under the pressure of hunger could not think deeply on the sacredness of his birthright that he sold. Saul confronted by people’s pressure, could not consider the grave consequence of his action untilSamuel appeared. Job’s wife mounted serious pressure on him to curse God and die because of the loss of their belongings and tragedies that befell them. “Are you still holding on to your integrity? Curse God and die!”(Job 2:9).

It is not the magnitude or the type of pressure that besiege you that really matters, but your attitude under such pressures. This will determine whether you will be made or marred by it. The most common of these pressures is the work load we daily encounter.

If pressures are not carefully handled, they lead to depression, anxiety, stress which ultimately affect health and eventually terminate life. Whatever it is, learn to take things easy. No amount of anxiety can solve problems. Do not ever attempt to handle too many tasks at a time. Arrange them in their order of importance and urgency and handle them one after the other, beginning from the easiest.

Take time to think, plan and also pray very well. Remember, problems do not go by themselves, solutions have to be proffered but in seeking solution, your approach and method counts.

I see your pressure give way to pleasure today in Jesus’ name. God bless you!

I declare and decree; I shall not die under pressure in Jesus’ name.

The inherited and self-inflicted yoke of pressure on me is broken now in Jesus’ name.

Today, I shall not be barren of help. The stress of my life is over.

GIVE AND EXPECT GIFT

  

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you” Luke 6:38.

Life is simple, exciting and enjoyable when you know and operate the principles that govern it. One of it is that, life gives back to you what you first give to it. You will be deceiving yourself if you expect to reap from where you have not sown. Even with God, it is only when you give what you have to Him that He also gives what He has to you.

When last were you given something? If it has been long, the reason is probably you have not been giving out something to others lately. If you want money as gift, give out money as gift. If you desire to be appreciated, appreciate something in others. There is nothing you want in life that you cannot get provided you understand and operate the required principles. Some people complain that nobody loves them and no one cares for them. The answer is who do they love and care for?

The truth is; nothing planted grows. Invest into people, the dividends therein is awesome. Those whose names remain unforgettable are those who made direct investment into people. If it is possible, find something to give every day, no matter how small. Give a smile, love, food, money, time and so on. Do not go to bed until you are sure you have given something to someone. If you do so; it will turn your life around for good.

Today, God’s favour will turn to your side. You will be remembered. Showers of blessing will fall on you. Expect a strange lifting, a divine

endowment and unusual favour everywhere you go. You are lifted!

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Life runs through a process; step by step, there is no shortcut to it. Any shortcut you are tempted to take delays your arrival at destiny. Every stage of life’s process is expected to add or take something from you. Whoever fails or dodges the normal process of life will either end up half-baked or not made. There are fundamental principles of life established by God. According to verse 2 of today’s text, “there is a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant.” This is the moment that you set off on the race of life, the period you start setting goals that you intend to achieve in your life time. This is the period you start paying the price of greatness because for every worthwhile and laudable achievement, there is a price to pay.

In life, there is a time to endure hardship and there is a time also to enjoy the harvest. If you really desire to be successful or thoroughly backed in the school called life, there is no way you can dodge passing through the phases of life. Adam and Eve fell gallantly because they lack the normal experience of life; they never went through the developmental phases of life within which they can be thoroughly processed and fortified.

Adam became a well-grown man the same day he was created. Eve was a day old when she became a well matured woman, ripped for child bearing. Thus, they were both inexperienced in the matter of life. You must pay the price. Therefore, be patient and get prepared to pass through the process of life. After you have gone through, you will come out shining, glowing, useful and attractive.

The peace of God shall reign in your life. From today, your pressures are over. Experience peace. I love you!

I receive grace to wait for my time of manifestation in Jesus’ name.

You divine angels, guide and protect me today, direct me to the path of peace.

LOOK FOR PROBLEMS TO SOLVE

“A gift opens the way for the giver and ushers him into the presence of the great.” Proverbs 18:16.

Promotion obtained is a product of solution proffered; likewise, money received is a reward for problem solved. God deliberately did not finish the work of creation; as a result, some challenges were left for man to face and some problems to solve. So, man is surrounded by problems, visible and invisible. These problems are daily calling for solution. God created all that surrounds man such that as man solves one problem, another one emerges.

In the process, his personality gets developed, he gets engaged, he earns money and ultimately, he makes this world better than he met it. Hence, his instruction in Genesis 2:18 “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it…” If you are not proffering solution to anything, you cannot obtain promotion in anything, for promotion or wealth secured outside solving problem or rendering service is nothing but fraud.

For instance, Joseph brought solution to the strange dream of Pharaoh and that day, he was promoted from a prisoner to Prime Minister. Daniel experienced the same rise to stardom as he interpreted the strange writings on the wall addressed to King Belshazzar. No one discriminates against a problem solver. The truth of the matter is that people have problems and are desperately looking for who will help them solve them.

Problem solvers are God’s representatives and are co-creators with God. They are assets in any organization and even to the kingdom of God. Why not ask God today to baptize you with an excellent spirit and make you stand tall among your peers. It takes excellent spirit and innovative mind to solve problems. Develop the ability to think outside the box. Yearn for supernatural insights into the issues of life particularly as it concerns human beings. Develop the ability to observe things beyond what is seen on the surface.

Finally, ask God for wisdom in all things. He will surely give it to you. Today, supernatural lifting shall be your experience. Remain blessed!

Today, I am blessed with the gift and anointing that brings solution to life’s problem.

Fortify your glory in my life so it can shine for the world to see.

Forces of darkness and redundancy shall no longer have dominion over me in Jesus’ name.

MAKE THIS WORLD BETTER

“Cush was the father of Nimrod, who grew to be a mighty warrior on the earth.” Genesis 10:8.

We are all in a world full of problems. Interestingly, these problems can never end because the solution to one problem is the beginning of another one. Thus, we will keep solving problems till we all leave this world one by one. If you recall, the first challenges God encountered while creating this beautiful world were that of darkness and disorganization. So, the first problem He solved was that of darkness. “The earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep…” Genesis 1:2.

The work of creation was never fully completed. The reason is each of us would have the privilege of solving as many problems as possible in individual’s unique and peculiar way in our ceaseless quest for prominence and survival. You are solution provider to a particular problem of humanity. But unfortunately, majority arrived here and compounded the existing problems rather than proffer solution. Instead of solving the problems they met on ground, they became problems themselves begging for solution.

Just as God intended it; for every problem solved, your personal life and your world get better. This world of ours is this comfortable because some people came and solved some specific problems. Are you a solution provider or problem creator? Identify the needs around you; there are problems in every man’s life, in every community, in every system calling for solutions.

Do not see problem and take off your eyes. The reason God made you to notice them is to be solution agent. Identify your gifts and potentials. What do you have to meet that particular need you have identified? Release your potential which may be in form of time, energy, talent, money, strength etc to solve the problem. If you do, you will be glad to have affected your generation positively.

Forces holding you down to ridicule will die. You will be amazingly blessed today. Enjoy your day!

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for you will help me make a noticeable effect in this world.

Help me Lord to be solver of problems.

I am not a burden to my generation; I am a blessing.

Effect a spring of great and good ideas in my mind today.

YOU CAN’T BE LIKE SOMEONE ELSE

“But you, keep your head in all situations, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, discharge all the duties of your ministry” 2 Timothy 4:5.

Trying to be like someone else makes one discountenance his or her uniqueness. Besides, it will make you run another man’s race. Not only that, it will make you lose your identity and consequently prevent you from adding your own flavour to your generation. It was neither a mistake nor accident that we are differently talented. The fact that you do not look exactly like me does not mean you are inferior to me or vice versa. You are loaded inside. God has blessed you with massive gifts and potentials to make a difference in life. It will be a tragedy to abandon all these and begin to run after what is given to someone else.

No amount of effort can make you be exactly like another person. The best you can be when you embark on such a mission is the duplicate. And the moment the original is still available, no one reckons with the duplicate. The earlier you realize and come to terms with this fact the better for you. There is no reason or basis for comparison. This is the reason people go through life with struggles as if life is all about struggle.  Someone might ask; if I am this unique, how then can I release my uniqueness for actualization?

Consciousness of who you are: The place to start is the discovery of who you are. You are a major event and an important person created in the image of God to operate like Him. Be interested in your person. Do not accept Satan’s lie that you are nothing.

Discover what is in you: Ask yourself; what are my potentials or endowments. Every human being is uniquely gifted and amazingly  different.

Finally, develop and deploy your uniqueness. Go, for relevant training and develop yourself the more. When you do this, the entire world is bound to notice your uniqueness.

Divine lifting shall be your experience. You shall no longer be lost in the crowd. God will grant you a platform of expression.

WRITE YOUR OWN HISTORY

“By faith Abraham, when God tested him, offered Isaac as a sacrifice. He who had received the promises was about to sacrifice his one and only son” Hebrews 11:17.

Every human being has limitations, but you can remove your limitations, perpetuate your remembrance and keep living in the minds of men. First, through your record breaking exploits and second, by reproducing yourself in others. Nothing is worse than coming to this world and leaving no trace behind. Life is all about impact, which means making the desired mark or leaving it better than you met it.

There are many walking corpses – those who, though alive, have no impact on humanity. And there are many though dead, but still speaking through the work they did while alive. The lives they lived and the changes they effected during their life time are loud voices speaking on their behalf. Who can forget William Shakespeare, a renowned and veteran author? Who can pretend not to have read or heard about Christopher Columbus, the man who through his voyage and expedition discovered America?

Rahab’s name became prominent in Jewish history, and was referred to in the scriptures till today by her simple act of offering protection to the spies sent by Moses. “By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies was not killed with those who were disobedient” (Hebrews 11:31).

You may not be an author or inventor but you can do things worth writing about. When you make a major discovery, make an invention or establish institutions that bless generation, then you have become a pillar of reference. These you can do irrespective of your sex, age, tribe or education. You can become a hero from zero level. Whenever possible, document your exploits. Record keeping is very crucial. Whatever you know or has must be passed on to others. This is how to work beyond your times.

God will put you in the middle of a major breakthrough. Your generation will read your history. Wake up now, think and do something. Welcome to another new day.

I shall not die without making impact in Jesus’ name.

I receive grace now to become a hero in this generation of mine in Jesus’ name.

Today, I shall become a pacesetter and a reference point.

I invoke the power of the Blood of Jesus for protection wherever I go today in Jesus’ name.

NO SITUATION IS PERMANENT

“If you can” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for him who believes”Mark 9:23.

For as long as there is life there is hope, no matter how bad what surrounds you may be. It is never beyond redemption. It is never beyond the power of God. No matter how bad your condition is, it can change for the better and then for the best. No matter how long you have delayed by forces you cannot even explain, you can still become what you originally desire to be. That marriage can still work. You can still pass that examination. Your health can still be restored, you can still be a landlord, lost opportunities can still be regained, even if you are the cause of the situation.

“Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives rescued from the fierce? But this is what the LORD says…’ Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce…” Isaiah 49:24-25. The worst of all situations is death, but it is still within the redemptive power of God. Lazarus’ corpse was already stinking but Jesus brought him back to life. Abraham Lincoln ultimately became the president of the United States of America in spite of all the hurdles he went through.

However, do not fold your arms and complain. You are not yet near what God has in mind for you. Face whatever is contrary to the dream you have for your life and conquer it. Find out where you are missing it by conducting a sincere and thorough assessment of yourself and activities. This is your sole responsibility. Never say God is responsible for your situation. Stop apportioning blames. Take responsibility for everything that happened.

It can never be over until your own happens, there will be no ‘road closed’ until you have crossed over. There will be no embargo until your own is done. Even if they close the door, at your arrival, it shall be opened.

Stop mourning; start dancing. This is your season of celebration. Congratulations!
